brooks and ben

we've had a week of wonderful music - two great and very different gigs. the first was a folk gig by brooks williams who is an awesome guitarist and singer-songwriter... also an old family friend from the USA. he played at the ram club in middle-of-nowhere Claygate. its a great barn-like room out the back of a lovely country pub and was full of middle-age couples with glasses and flowery dresses - die-hard folk fans. we had a glass of red wine and chilled out to some mellifluous tunes.

last night we went to see ben harper at the Hammersmith Apollo... as part of my birthday present to sam. turned out we got to stand with triona and cousins rach and al which was much fun. it was incredible! we screamed and jumped and sang and rocked and got home shattered but elated.
