Last week Zach and I went to visit our friends Karen and Rebecca who have moved to St Alban's. Zach enjoyed the hour long train ride to get there. And very much enjoyed seeing Rebecca who he has known since he was born. (Karen and I had a good two hours sitting on the sofa eating lunch and chatting while the little ones slept which was great!) Kiss!
Here is Bubba2 at 13 weeks. Due date 1st February 2010. Waving Hello! We had the same sonographer who had scanned Zach when he was 12 weeks old. She was very sweet and let Zach sit up on the table and have his belly scanned too, which he was very pleased with.
This weekend we went to Dorset to visit Gran. We had lovely weather on the Saturday. Zach enjoyed visiting the old steam train that runs a few fields from Gran's house. And he loved the beach - digging in the sand, playing with seaweed and dipping his toes in the sea. Sam and I had a refreshing swim! The Red Arrows (RAF Aerobatic Team) were doing an airshow over the local town so everyone on the beach got a great view! It was quite exciting as they flew in beautiful formation and then dipped, dived, swirled and looked like they were about to crash in to each other and the hills. Here is Zach organising Gran's vegetable rack After church on Sunday, we had tea and cakes in the church garden. They had set-up an outdoor cafe for their Summer Flower Festival day but it was a bit windy & chilly!
We had a lovely surprise visit from Ann and Marshall today. They popped in for coffee on their way home from their camping holiday in France. Zach was very taken with them both. Ann taught him 'Round-and-Round the Garden' which he loved and does on his own hand now.
Sam took the day off work for his birthday this year. We had gifts and smoothie in the morning.
Zach enjoyed the wrapping paper
and in particular playing with the balloons until they popped! (although slightly bemused by the mystery of where the balloon goes after the pop)
We then walked through our local Common to 'Cafe Du Village' for a very yummy brunch. After a second long trip to the Common in the afternoon (Zach loves going out - plus we wanted to wear him out and get him to bed early so WE could go out!!) we had Birthday cake!! ...and then went out for dinner and a lovely evening in the pub where lots of friends gathered to surprise Sam and celebrate him with us!
On Thursday, we had Zach's friend Oscar to stay for the day while his Mummy was at work. Oscar is a bit younger than Zach and a delightful wee chap. Zach loved having his company. I managed to get them both to sleep at the same time and had an hour lying on the sofa reading a book - bliss! Snack time... more snacks...
