Dorset

This weekend we went to Dorset to visit Gran. We had lovely weather on the Saturday. Zach enjoyed visiting the old steam train that runs a few fields from Gran's house. And he loved the beach - digging in the sand, playing with seaweed and dipping his toes in the sea. Sam and I had a refreshing swim!

The Red Arrows (RAF Aerobatic Team) were doing an airshow over the local town so everyone on the beach got a great view! It was quite exciting as they flew in beautiful formation and then dipped, dived, swirled and looked like they were about to crash in to each other and the hills.

Here is Zach organising Gran's vegetable rack

After church on Sunday, we had tea and cakes in the church garden. They had set-up an outdoor cafe for their Summer Flower Festival day but it was a bit windy & chilly!

What a cutie he is. It reminds me of Sam, at a similar age, discovering the sand and surf, with Seren, at Surfers' Paradise (We were there for cousin Rob's wedding). They loved playing in the sand so much that we decided to do yearly beach hols after that, so began the Point Lonsdale hols.

Lovely to see him at a very familiar beach where you spent so much time as a child. Many memories. Great shot in the larder and with Great Gran, Special to have all those generations together,
