Zach enjoyed the wrapping paper
and in particular playing with the balloons until they popped! (although slightly bemused by the mystery of where the balloon goes after the pop)
After a second long trip to the Common in the afternoon (Zach loves going out - plus we wanted to wear him out and get him to bed early so WE could go out!!) we had Birthday cake!!
...and then went out for dinner and a lovely evening in the pub where lots of friends gathered to surprise Sam and celebrate him with us!
