Solid Food

Zachary is loving eating solids

Once he has gobbled down enough to not be really hungry, and especially if it is food he's not crazy about, he likes to hold the spoon and feed himself, which, as you can imagine, can get very messy!

He also by this point likes ample time to chew on the spoon in between each mouthful

When he has had enough he moves on to his thumb

Dear boy!
Do you know, he's reminding me more and more of his Uncle Stephen. That final picture especially.
btw what's the story with his hair?!

much love to you all,
Rachel

he likes all sorts now. thought it does help if it has a slight sweet element to it... he's eating lots of carrots, parsnip, sweet potato and butternut squash. Plus the old favourites - mango, banana pear and apple. i have spent the last two weeks making huge batches of steamed and pureed fruit and veg in the blender and freezing it in ice cubes.
i made a big batch of mashed potato today so we'll see how he does with that.

Wow. He's so good at holding his spoon! Don't solids make for a variety of interesting colored poop? Love, Jo
