chicken pox

Zach has had chicken pox this past week so we have been spending a lot of time at home. Thankfully it's been beautifully sunny so we've been able to play in the garden a lot. Zach has been a real trooper and coped so well with all the discomfort and itchies and medicine-taking, hardly complaining. The anti-histamine, which tastes revolting, he has declared "is for adults" but has been very good about taking it... especially when it's followed by the yummy pink medicine that is his "favourite" - Calpol.

We think Martha has had it - she was a bit lethargic and poorly for a week and we couldn't figure out what was wrong... and she had one spot... and then got better. If that wasn't the pox then she'll be getting it soon. She loves wearing this hat from Grandma. She is SUCH a cutie at the moment.
