last weekend sam cleared the "communal garden"space outside our flat and planted lots of shrubs, bulbs, lilies, daffodils, herbs, roses .. and a pear tree! above is the view from our kitchen window.. and sam clearing all the leaves and debris..

as you can see in this photo the area is a path leading up beside the house from the road. but it is not used too much. You can see our back door in the right of this picture.

the next step is to plant grass seed on the bit behind where sam is sitting so that we have a little bit of lawn. i'll take some finished product photos as it is is looking lovely. i love leaving in the morning and walking past all the plants.. including a hanging basket of flowers outside the back door.
