walking for fish

becca and i walked into town today, one of the chilliest days this year, to buy some new fish.

we had a really nice walk to waterloo, over the hungerford bridge, through soho and up to great portland street (runs between oxford street and euston road).

we have bought all of our fish from the aquatic design centre which is a great fish shop on great portland street. today we bought another zebra danio, a golden danio and 4 tetras. the photo shows them being climatised (the poor things being transported home in the freezing cold, but the nice fish lady wrapped up their bags with newspaper - much like the process at the other end of their life, fish and chips style!)

Tigger is on my lap again and he read this latest blog update with great interest. In the past he has found pet fish to be most enjoyable. even without the chips.

how wonderful to log onto our blog and find so many comments! this IS a fun way to keep in touch.

i finished god of small things months ago but haven't changed the blog bit!

'match point' was terribly disturbing, but very thought provoking. we were talking about it for weeks afterwards.

I loved The Dish - its great. we talked about it when i was there last year. But we ended up watching a great film about a guy living next to the airport and trying to save his house from being bulldozed. and he's rally rpoud of everything his wife does - even producing ice-cream. i can't remember the name of it. very lovely film.

I found Match Point really hard, good film and nice to see shots of London, but so disturbing and dark.
