We had a lovely evening on Saturday night with some of Becca's Edinburgh people. i was asked what EP meant and thought that it meant 'extended play'. I checked when I got in and sure enough, it does.
EP means "extended play" LP means "long play"
EP is a term carried over from the old days of vinyl when 45rpm sized records were burned at 33 1/3 so as to "extend" the number of songs that would fit on it.
