our amazing french holiday house

We had such an amazing place to stay when in France. It was set in the beautiful rural of the River Lot valley. It reminded me a little bit of Victoria in Australia, pre-drought days. Lots of vineyards and orchards.

We shared the main house with Tom and Anita and the kids and the Herberts were in the beautifully converted barn. Days started with drawn out breakfasts of coffee and croissants and were filled with lounging, tennis, reading, eating, walks, pool, trampolining, hot tubs (the owner sells hot tubs, so there were a couple around for our use). We hardly left the place, except for a day-trip to Monflanquin.
