junk room becomes baby's room... (S)

We've kind of had a dumping zone for the past few years, in this place and Nightingale Lane before it, where junk has accumulated over time. We've spent the last couple of months sorting through stuff and chucking heaps of stuff out, giving to charity etc. Becca threw out a huge box of old cassette tapes which I was really proud of her for doing - its the last link to our pre-digital existence. None of that for bubs though... look at the transformation below.

It has turned into a really lovely, calm little room. Becca has done some incredible sewing projects. The curtains above and the cool wall hanging in the bottom picture. It hangs just above the changing mat and will house bits and bobs we'll need to have to hand when nappy-changing.

Nice work with the cassette tapes. Those of us who've gone to the trouble of shipping them 10,000 miles across the world find it even harder, but at some point it's the only thing to do. You could 'digitize' the contents, but do you really need them....

Congrats again on the imminent arrival of your little one. What a cheerful space in which to begin participating in a family as well as life in the world beyond.
My thoughts and prayers are with you both during this exciting time.
The TBCCS days seem like a long time ago, on the cusp of this sort of news!
